This is the best mortal combat ever , WB outdid themselves , The fatalities were extremely bloody and satisfyingly violent, the story itself was exciting . I was totally into this movie , my eyes were glued to the screen the entire hour and twenty minutes . I cant wait for part 2 . the writers, graphics and the people who did the voices did an excellent job. Well done WB.

The merit of the Irish director Kim Longinotto is that she chose a non- conventional way of bring on screen an extraordinary biography. The combination of a special subject and of an exciting way to make movies makes of 'Shooting the Mafia' a captivating film, which also enters in a polemic with the way the the Sicilian Mafia is presented on the screen.It's a story we seem to know from films like 'The Godfather', but here we see it from another perspective.

Letizia Battaglia's biography covers all of Italy's modern history since the Second World War. The Sicilian teenager is raised in a strict atmosphere by a tyrant father. She accepts to get married at age 16 with the first man she was proposed to, in order to leave the house where she was secluded. Soon she gives birth and she grows up two daughters up to the age of maturity, like a typical Italian domestic woman, whom the man does not allow to learn or to practice a profession out of their home. Her re- birth of the person takes place when she is about 40 years old, but she will will take revenge on life as they say, divorcing, maintaining numerous relationships with men (many of them younger), and working as a photojournalist at a newspaper in Palermo . Here she will soon come in contact with the sordid realities of poverty and corruption, but especially with the violent society dominated by Cosa Nostra (the name of the Sicilian mob). She will photograph the murders in blood soaked pictures, become a friend of the judges who are trying to fight the phenomenon and who are murdered one after another, and she will get involved in politics when it becomes apparent that journalism activism is no longer enough. This is the biography of a special woman of great courage. The feminist message and the political criticism of violence, corruption, and especially fear are combined directly and expressively.

In order to bring the story of Battaglia's life on the screen, director Kim Longinotto has film sequences, photographs made by Battaglia throughout her work (many of them filled with violence, but of remarkable expressiveness and quality) and testimonies of her own and of those who have surrounded and accompanied her throughout her life (among which some of her former lovers, but also the current one). For the first period of her life, when she was not in front of the film or photo cameras, sequences from the films of the Neo-realistic era of post-war Italian cinema were used. The result is a documentary that is never boring, from a visual or from a message point of view. The spectators get the portrait of a strong and courageous woman who had the power to change the course of her life, to overcome the social and gender prejudices, to love and work in a profession she taught herself in which she excelled, a woman who has not remained indifferent to suffering around her, a woman who has done and continues to do all she knows and can do to correct injustice. 'Shooting the Mafia' is an interesting documentary and a remarkable cinematic portrait. It's also a condemnation of organized crime, showing its the real sordid face, very different from the glamor it gets in some of the Hollywood movies.

Being a middle aged Englishman I've been brought up on a diet of murder mystery stories and in many respects I've been spoilt. When the stories have translated from book to screen the production value is almost always secondary to the good conjunct story. I was very excited, having read the reviews, that seemingly in the case of 'Knives Out' I would be getting a rare trinity of a good story, good actors and good production. It certainly has two of the three. Unfortunately this film thinks it's cleverer than it is. It's simply a story of a privileged family and their pettiness with a rather trivial murder mystery chucked in as a contrivance to get them all together. Rian Johnson attempts to display the worst nature of the privileged minority with all the subtlety of a man screaming 'I am woke' at the top of his lungs at anybody who'll listen. Unfortunately subtlety and nuance are what makes for a good mystery story, you need to pay attention so as not to miss anything. With this film you could miss probably the middle third of the film and you'd not be any less aware of what's happening. A bit of a shame really.

Beyond the many instances of poignancy and incisiveness, 'Jojo Rabbit' is equally packed with witty dialogue and humorous interludes, making it among the finest examples of satire to emerge from Hollywood in recent memory.

So color us mystified as to why critics have given this gem such a paltry 78% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and 58% on Metacritic. Those who panned the movie are either unable to laugh at absurdity, or they themselves are so absurd that it's not worth anyone's time to read their brainsick thoughts.

A group of kids on holiday in Cornwall meet a magical creature on the beach with the power to grant wishes.

Based on Jacqueline Wilson's book of the same name (which was based on E Nesbit's Five Children and It), Four Kids and It is the big sreen adaption of this deriative.

Aside from sounding like a budget version of Five Children and It with one kid missing, it attempts to update the story to a modern standard. Which is all very well but this still comes across as being a bit half-baked.

Like most "issues" with a lot of films, suspect the budget has more of a say than anything else. The "wishes" are lacklustre, flat and as for Russell Brand, well, cliche if nothing else. The kids carry the bulk of the film between them, relatively successfully.

At the end of the day you can't help feeling this is a wasted opportunity. It could have and should have been so much better. Not a total disaster, those who've read the novel (or the original 1902 book) may be disappointed, but those who just jump into films and read the book later if at all may get more out of it.

A man struggling with his sexuality returns home to his mother after serving in World War 2. Immediately she notices something is wrong, unaware that’s it’s what happened before the war, what home represents to him, that creates the conflict within.

This movie was just beautiful, ten years of movies and this one is the best, not a very emotional person when it comes to movies, I rarely cry, and I did, more than once actually. It was just amazing, everything, vfx, soundtrack, marvel, what a ride, everything I espected and more, it deserves everything it has everything. It deserves to be between the best, because it is one of the best. Just marvelous. It's perfect, just love it! Thank you Marvel, thank you to everyone who made this movie, cast, director´s, producer, just every single one of then.

The movie is quite good, with a few notable incongruous moments dealing with that "timey-wimey" stuff. I wasn't a fan of how the Captain Marvel character was used at all, but some of my fears there did not come to fruition so I can handle it. Most of the issues are minor, and it's a substantive and worthy conclusion, overall.

A young couple moves in to their first apartment and encounters a red-headed freckled doll. Soon they discover that their home and doll reveal an evil presence.

This is not a perfect movies. It has its flaws. Still, I enjoyed myself. I found this to be a guilty pleasure. I mean, isn't "lightweight" or "guilty pleasure" what one should expect from a Charlie's Angels installment?

Let me get the script's problems out of the way. The story has its muddled plot points. There isn't a lot of regard for real world logic. Plus, there is one strange, dark element that leaves a bit of a metaphorical bitter aftertaste.

On the whole, I had a good time. Admittedly, it was in a brainless way. I felt there was a fair amount of funny lines and generally liked the combination of fight scenes and stylish locales. I also liked the decision that the Townsend Agency has been expanded into this larger multinational operation.

The three leads were good. Kristen Stewart was the MVP as the weird one who you can't predict what she'll say or do next. Naomi Scott also does a great job as the innocent newbie trying to stay afloat in the world of espionage she has found herself in. Ella Balinska is more of the straight woman and doesn't get as much a chance to shine, but she does a decent job when she gets to demonstrate her comedic chops.

What helps the film is that it has a surprisingly strong group of villains, most of them of which are also pretty funny.

As for the film's appearance: The movie has a pretty good selection of nice looking sets and locales. There were a couple ideas during fight scenes I thought were done well. The filming has some issues, particularly in the first half. There are way too many close-up shots. Also, there were a couple of times that the camera tried to balance the background and the foreground, which resulted in this brief but odd feel that's hard to put into words. It's sort of an uncanny valley-esque situation.

Overall, I kind of compare this to the first two films in that it doesn't matter that much what the film is about and just sitting back and enjoy the ride.
